Saolomea, Saolomea
She is well dressed, all made up and breathtakingly beautiful, sitting in the middle of the SIDEWALK, on Sunset Boulevard. To random observers she is talking to herself, to someone invisible.
She is talking to me.
This city is blind to many of its inhabitants. Entire villages made up of TENTS, CARDBOARD AND BLANKETS, border high-end VILLAS, HOTELS and all kinds of WELL-BEING CENTERS. Yet if you look from above you’ll see another city within the city. Ours. The city of estranged shadows.
Saolomea, Saolomea is the story of a mother and her young son navigating their way through tumultuous waters to survive the ordained Gods of a city of angels.
Through scriptment prose our protagonist and narrator Nora Saolomea encounters these Gods simultaneous to facing pressures of housing, single motherhood, mental health, and survival in Los Angeles.
